Replace your voicemail

A modern answering service that knows you.

Forward the calls you miss on your own mobile to your Chief of Staff. Instead of “leave a message,” callers get your assistant. It knows who you are, who you've approved, and what you have coming up, and it takes real notes.

What callers hear

“You've reached Graham's phone. This is Lloyd, Graham's assistant. Graham can't pick up right now, but I can help.”

Then a real conversation: who's calling, what it's about, the amounts, the dates, the options, and what happens next.

What you get
  • A written summary marked “Missed on mobile,” in your inbox and in your Bot's chat.
  • The details, not “please call back.”
  • People you've approved get through warmly. Strangers get a polite, guarded assistant that never shares your details.
  • Your phone still rings first. Forwarding only kicks in when you don't pick up.
Three steps
  1. Get your line. Pick a number in your area code. About a minute.
  2. From your mobile, dial your carrier's forwarding code with your line's number. Settings → Replace voicemail shows it filled in for you.
  3. Have someone call your mobile and don't pick up. Your assistant answers, and the summary arrives a minute later.
The carrier codes

Once you have a line, its number replaces ‹your line› below. In this example the line is named Lloyd and the owner is Graham.

Forward
Your phone still rings. If you don't pick up, Lloyd does. Replaces voicemail.
Dial from your mobile
*71‹your line›
Dial the code like a phone number and wait for the confirmation tone or message, then hang up.To turn it off: *73
Test it in one minute
  1. Have someone call your mobile (or call it from another phone) and don't pick up.
  2. Lloyd answers: “You've reached Graham's phone. This is Lloyd, their assistant. They can't pick up right now, but I can help.”
  3. The summary lands in History, your inbox, and your Bot's chat, tagged Missed on mobile.

Forwarded calls use minutes on your plan like any inbound call. Some carriers bill the forwarded leg against your mobile plan's minutes. Callers see your normal greeting from Lloyd; nobody hears “leave a message.” People you've approved get through warmly; Lloyd keeps strangers guarded and never shares your details.

Voicemail questions

Straight answers.

Can it replace my voicemail?

Yes. Forward the calls you miss on your mobile to your line. Your carrier has a short code for this, and Settings → Replace voicemail shows it filled in with your number. Callers then reach your assistant instead of a beep. It takes real notes, and the summary is marked “Missed on mobile.”

What happens when someone calls my line?

It answers as your assistant in a natural voice and has a real conversation. It finds out who is calling and what they need, and writes down the amounts, dates, options, and next step. People you've approved get through warmly. Strangers get a polite assistant that never shares your details.

Does it pretend to be human?

No. It introduces itself as your assistant, and it says it's an AI whenever anyone asks. People are more helpful when they know.

Can it spend money or commit me to things?

On a call, no. It never gives out a card number or agrees to a charge, so a booking or appointment is the most it commits you to. Your plan's minutes are the only thing the line itself spends, and app orders (dinner, groceries) go through only after you confirm.

What counts as a minute?

Time connected on a call, in or out, rounded up per call. Texts and email never use minutes.
